Since the last Congress in 2006, Vietnam's leaders have demonstrated their capacity to lead the country through crisis and maintaining economic stability. However, challenges remain and the country's leaders must now prove their ability to chart a course of growth and development in a new and changing world.

Following the tremendous success of The World in 2011 Gala Dinner, we are bringing the event to Hong Kong for a third year.

We will bring The Economist’s special report Business in India to life, through a 2-hour event hosted by the author of the report Patrick Foulis. This high-level gathering will convene 30-40 captains of industry to debate and discuss the content of the report. By VIP invitation only.

In September 2010 The Economist Group staged the highly successful Bellwether Series in Seoul. We are returning to Seoul on September 15th 2011 for the continuation of the series, bringing together policymakers, regulators and banking and finance executives to examine the shape of finance beyond 2011.

Healthcare’s innovation and efficiency agenda is an invitation-only event that forms part of The Economist Group's larger Healthcare in Asia initiative. Conclusions from the gathering will feed into the annual regional summit to be held in February 2012.

In 2010 Economist Conferences successfully launched the Bellwether Series in Tokyo, Sydney and Seoul and we are expanding the series to China in 2011. The event will bring together policymakers, regulators and banking and finance executives to examine the shape of finance beyond 2011.
