The Bellwether Series 2011 - Asia-Pacific

Now in its second year, The Bellwether Series will once again bring together leading policymakers, banking executives and regulators to discuss the future of finance in Asia-Pacific. In 2011, we move beyond talk of recovery and initiate an Asia-Pacific-wide dialogue on the future of innovation in today’s environment of austerity and scrutiny.

Keynote interviews with the government, regulators and other policymakers will be combined with town hall debates, discussion panels and focused one-on-one dialogues featuring Asia-Pacific's leading finance and banking experts.

The Bellwether Series draws on macroeconomic indicators and trends in Asia-Pacific’s key markets—as the world’s new financial barometers—to provide a powerful platform for exchange between policymakers and key industry figures. Policy initiatives and trends will be analysed to forecast the future of finance in Asia-Pacific and the region’s role in the global economy. In 2011, the focus will be turned to the debate and issues surrounding financial innovation and productivity. Government, regulatory bodies and those closest to shaping the regulatory landscape will participate by engaging in an interactive dialogue with the business and finance communities.
